Cirsium edule (Edible Thistle) is a species of biennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Alaska, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Argynnis hydaspe, Argynnis zerene, Black Tail Bumble Bee, and Police Car Moth.
