Gaillardia pulchella, Indian blanket flower, can be found throughout the continental United States (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, IL, KS, LA, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NM, NV, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, VT) with the exception of northwestern and some mid-Atlantic states such as Kentucky to New Jersey, and is exotic to Deleware (NatureServe Explorer, 2012; Hammond et al., 2007: 26).
