Range Description

Sepia confusa has a geographic distribution that extends from Port Elizabeth in South Africa northwards along the east coast of Africa to south Mozambique, including Madagascar (Reid et al. 2005). Records from the Arabian Sea are probably misidentifications (Reid et al. 2005) and possibly pertain to S. kobiensis (Nesis 1987).
