The orange-spotted day gecko, also known as the Mauritius lowland forest gecko, is a brightly colored, medium-sized gecko endemic to the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. In recent years, it has been introduced to the Hawaiian Islands, where its range is spreading. The genus Phelsuma represents an important example of island adaptive radiation, similar to that of the Caribbean anoles.
