Range Description

The species occurs from southern Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia south across the islands of the Sunda Shelf, including numerous small islands as well as the Sumatra, Java and Borneo. It is usually found in lowlands. In Sarawak recent records exist for Gunung Mulu National Park, a site where the snake had never previously been recorded, at elevations of 70 and 200 m asl. (J.M.
