Range Description

Brachyophidium rhodogaster is endemic to the Western Ghats and is known only from four sites including the type locality in Palni Hills, Tamil Nadu (Smith 1943, Rajendran 1985, Cadle et al. 1990, Ishwar et al. 2001, Johnsingh 2001, Kumar et al. 2002, Bossuyt et al. 2004). This species occurs at elevations between 1,350 and 1,900 m asl.
