Range Description

Michael’s Epaulette Shark is only known from eastern Papua New Guinea with observation and collecting records from Samarai Island, Milne Bay (vicinity of Alotau and Sullivan Patches), vicinity of Harvey Bay (Oro Province), and the Trobriand Islands. Reports from tourist divers suggest that it is more widely scattered around the large Milne Bay Province (G. Allen pers. comm. 2011).
