Range Description

This species is endemic to the Escambia River drainage in Alabama and the Yellow and Choctawhatchee River drainages in Alabama and Florida, USA (Roe and Hartfield 2005, Williams et al. 2008). It has an estimated extent of occurrence of 1,000–5,000 km² (Natureserve 2009).
