Range Description

This species is endemic to the United States of America, where it is found in the Ohio, Cumberland, and Tennessee River systems and the Mississippi River drainage from Wisconsin and Minnesota, south through Kansas and Oklahoma to Texas, east to Louisiana, Ohio and Mississippi (Williams et al. 2008). This species also occurs in Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas (NatureServe 2009).
