Range Description

This species occurs in the northern region of Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil (Brito and Figueiredo, 2003). There are three known populations, one from the type locality at Barra de Maricá coastal scrubland and the second from Poço das Antas Biological Reserve (Brito and Figueiredo, 2003). The third population occurs in Restinga de Jurubatiba National Park, which is the only national park in its range (D. Brito pers. comm.).
