Range DescriptionThis species is endemic to Papua New Guinea, where it is known from a small number (33) of specimens, collected between 1894 and 1985, from the southern side of the Central Cordillera. It has been recorded from Mt. Bosavi and Mt. Sisa in the west and Mt. Victoria/Vanapa River in the east (Woolley 2005). The species ranges in elevation between 650 and 1,600 m asl, and it presumably occurs within appropriate habitat between the two known areas, but this requires confirmation.
