Overview

Synalpheus androsi is a sponge-dwelling Caribbean snapping shrimp, with a streamlined body well-adapted to life in the interior canals of sponges. Found primarily in the sponge Hyattella intestinalis, S. androsii has been reported from the Bahamas, Belize, and Jamaica (see Distribution).
