Range Description

The species was only known from a small number of freshwater springs (Edgbaston Springs) in the Aramac region of Queensland (Davie 2002), these springs are all from the same aquifer and during floods these springs become connected. Recently (2006) the species has also been found in three separate springs (each from different aquifers) about 60-80 km further inland (R. Smith pers. comm. 2011).
