Range Description

This species is a North Carolina endemic known from 12 creeks in the Rockfish Creek and Little River subdrainages, and one creek that forms an independent subdrainage of the Cape Fear River basin in and near the Sandhills District, North Carolina, USA (Cooper and Cooper 2003). NCSM records include specimens from Cumberland, Hoke and Moore Counties, North Carolina.

The extent of occurrence (EOO) of this species has been estimated to be just under 7,800 km.
