Description

A small shrub with erect, smooth, pale green stems and long, spreading branches bearing leaflets in four or five pairs. Leaflets are lanceolate or obovate, unequally oblique at the base, with distinct veins on the lower surface, they are brittle, greyish-green, have a peculiar odour, and mucilaginous, sweetish taste. The flowers are small and yellow. Fruit is a broadly oblong pod containing about six seeds.
