Brian Gratwicke commented on an older version of "Blue Poison Dart Frog":
Apparently they are conspecific Wollenberg, K. C., Veith, M., Noonan, B. P., and Lotters, S. (2006). ''Polymorphism versus species richness—systematics of large Dendrobates from the Eastern Guiana Shield (Amphibia: Dendrobatidae).'' Copeia, 2006(4), 623-629.

Leo Shapiro commented on "Dendrobates tinctorius (Cuvier, 1797)":
Actually, D. azureus is now being treated as a color form of D. tinctorius (see AmphibiaWeb entry under Details tab)

Katja Schulz commented on an older version of "Isla Colón - Dendrobates Pumilio Colón":
When did you change the machine tag? This taxon association should have updated automatically, but due to the switch-over to the new EOL, there's a delay in harvesting, so it may take a bit longer. Just to be sure, I have attached your image to Oophaga pumilio manually. However, Dendrobates pumilio is treated as a synonym of Oophaga pumilio anyway, so your image shows up on the Oophaga pumilio page even if it's just attached to Dendrobates pumilio.

This picture according to me, is a dendrobates azureus...not a tinctorius
-
Dries Nys commented on "Dendrobates tinctorius (Cuvier, 1797)":
I think some links are wrong here... If you search for a dendrobates azureus, the link brings you to the dendrobates tinctorius, which is another species....

Look at my image source to see the exact taxonomy-list + identification

Dries Nys commented on an older version of "Isla Colón - Dendrobates Pumilio Colón":
Actually, this is an Oophaga pumilio colon... With Dendrobates pumilio, I used the old common name, which is, according to the taxonomy rules, the wrong one.
