Global Range: (1000-20,000 square km (about 400-8000 square miles)) Range includes most of the Umpqua River, Oregon, from near the mouth of Smith River in the north to Cow Creek and the South Umpqua near the boundary of the Umpqua National Forest in the south; one old record from the North Umpqua at Winchester (see map in Markle et al. 1991).
