Toxostoma
Toxostoma is a genus of bird in the Mimidae family. All members of this genus are called thrashers but there are other birds in the Mimidae family also bearing this title. Birds in the Toxostoma genus are considered "typical thrashers", and this genus makes up the largest group of thrashers, all but a few other species occurring each in their own genus.
The genus contains the following species:
- Ocellated Thrasher (Toxostoma ocellatum)
- Brown Thrasher (Toxostoma rufum)
- Cozumel Thrasher (Toxostoma guttatum)
- Bendire's Thrasher (Toxostoma bendirei)
- Curve-billed Thrasher (Toxostoma curvirostre)
- Le Conte's Thrasher (Toxostoma lecontei)
- Crissal Thrasher (Toxostoma crissale)
- California Thrasher (Toxostoma redivivum)
- Gray Thrasher (Toxostoma cinereum)
- Long-billed Thrasher (Toxostoma longirostre)
