M 21-23 mm. Tibiotarsal articulation reaches slightly beyond snout tip. Hand without webbbing, foot with rudimentary webbing. Two dorsolateral dermal ridges. Colouration predominantly light brown. A continuous light stripe along the upper lip (Glaw and Vences 2007).

Variation: It is likely that G. blanci as well as G. boulengeri contain numerous undescribed cryptic species (Glaw and Vences 2007).
