Holosporaceae

The Holosporaceae are a family of bacteria, included in the order Rickettsiales. The member Holospora is an intracellular parasite found in the unicellular protozoa Paramecium.[1]

The genera Caedibacter, Holospora, Lyticum, Odyssella, Pseudocaedibacter, Pseudolyticum and Tectibacter are Incertae sedis.[1]

Draft genome sequences are available for three Holospora species [2] and Odyssella thessalonicensis [3] .[4]
