Diagnosis A large species of frog (maximum 78 mm snout vent length) without dorsal lateral folds; with two spines per thumbs in males; dorsum not tugose and the sole of the foot is usually tuberculate. Distinctive colors in life: intense to barely visible brick red ventrally and in groin.
