Range Description

This species can be found in higher elevations of the Unicoi, Cheoah, Great Smoky, and Great Balsam mountain ranges of the southwestern Blue Ridge Physiographic Province in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee, United States (Tilley 2000); found at elevations of 640-1,805m asl, usually above 1,000m asl (Conant and Collins 1991, Tilley 2000).
