Diagnosis A slender, much-elongated species, reaching a known length of 640 mm; the width about 91 times in total length; primary folds, 226; secondaries, 4. Scales begin near middle of body on the sides; posteriorly a single row of large scales in folds surrounding the body; eye, if present, concealed under bone; tentacle, 1.0 mm directly below eye; nuchal collars moderately well defined; four series of teeth, the splenials, 3-3. Head and neck rather light yellowish-brown; body generally lavender to violet-brown on dorsum and sides, somewhat lighter below.
