Range Description

This species is endemic to northern and western Australia. It is present on a number of offshore islands. Recent genetic analyses suggest that the distribution of this species is confined to west of around Mount Isa, west Queensland, and that the populations to the east are Taphozous troughtoni (T. Reardon pers. comm.).
