Range Description

This species is known from Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands. It has been recorded from the Indonesian islands of Halmahera, Ambon, Seram, Gebe, Yapen, Biak, Numfor, and Supiori. It is present throughout much of the island of New Guinea (Papua Province, Indonesia and Central, Chimbu, East Sepik, and Eastern Provinces of Papua New Guinea), and also occurs on New Ireland, Lihir, Tabar islands, Bougainville, and Buka, Papua New Guinea. In the Solomon Islands, it has been reported from the islands of Guadalcanal, Malaita, New Georgia, and Sanata Isabel (Bonaccorso 1998; Flannery 1995a,b). It has an elevational range of sea level to 1,600 m asl.
