Kannabateomys amblyonyx (Atlantic Bamboo Rat) is a species of rodents in the family American spiny rats. They are native to The Neotropics. They are solitary, nocturnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 19.2 months and can grow to 280 mm. They have parental care (paternal care and female provides care).
