Range Description

This species occurs in the Cordillera de la Costa and the Cordillera de Mérida, Venezuela, extending into the northern Cordillera Oriental (dept Norte de Santander) in Colombia. Its altitudinal range is 1,100-1,600m asl. The specimens from the Colombian and Venzuelan Andes belong to another, as yet, undescribed species (Barrio Amorós, 2004).
