Range Description

This species occurs from the Upper Cumberland River drainage in southwestern Kentucky, East to the upper New River drainage of western North Carolina and Virginia. This species is also found in the Little Scioto drainage, Ohio and Big Sandy, Guyandotte, upper New, and Elk drainages in West Virginia (Taylor 2000). This species has a distribution of approximately 67189 km2.
