A member of the ocellata group with the following combination of characters: 1) vomerine dentition present, 2) bones light green in life, 3) dorsal coloration is green with many yellow spots homogeneously distributed over the head and body, 4) dorsal skin finely granular and small subconical tubercles, many very small wrinkles, 5) ulnar and tarsal folds absent, 6) humeral spine absent, 7) tympanum small and oval Adults attain a medium size; females reach 32.7mm SVL, males reach 27.8-30.0mm SVL. Head much wider than body, wider than long; head width is 30.7-35.3% SVL. Distance from the nostril to the anterior portion of the eye is 46.5-71.4% diameter of the eye; diameter of eye is 40.7-53.7% length of head; tympanum is 19.5-28.9% diameter of the eye. Length of tibia is 55.7-64.3% SVL; when hind limbs adpressed anteriorly, the ankle easily passes the most anterior portion of the snout.
