Formerly treated as Centrolenella ilex by Lynch and Duellman (1973) , but now a member of the genus Cochranella with the following characters: 1) vomerine teeth 2-3 large, 2) bones green in life, 3) dorsal color green with yellow spots bordered by black, 4) snout rounded when viewed dorsally and truncated when viewed laterally, 5) ulnar and tarsal folds and tubercles absent, 6) humeral spine absent, 7) tympanic membrane small and only 2/3 visible Adults large, 33.1mm SVL. Head slightly wider than body and wider than it is long (head width is 32.6% SVL); nostril to eye distance is 58.7% diameter of the eye; eyes large and visible around border of snout when viewed ventrally; diameter of eye is 44.7% length of head; tympanum is 21.7% diameter of eye.
