Autumn Olive is an attractive shrub with silvery green foliage, fragrant flowers, and reddish fruits. Unfortunately, its highly invasive nature more than offsets its desirable characteristics. Autumn Olive can be distinguished from the closely related Elaeagnus angustifolia (Russian Olive) as follows
