Range Description

This species is known from the departments of Antioquia and Caldas on the Cordillera Occidental of the Colombian Andes from 1,140 -1,940m asl. Cochran (1970) recorded one individual from Valle de Cauca Cisneros below 500m asl, but Lynch (1997, 1998b) and Ruiz-Carranza, Ardila-Robayo, and Lynch (1996) did not consider this to be a valid record. Probably by mistake, Acosta-Galvis (2000) included Valle del Cauca in its distribution.
