This species is distributed in West Africa and Central Africa. It has been recorded in from Benin and Nigeria in West Africa, with a seemingly disjunct second population distributed from Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea (Rio Muni) and northern Gabon, into Central African Republic and much of the Congo Basin of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
