IThis species is endemic to Borneo, where it is confined to the central mountain ranges (Payne et al. 2005). It ranges in East Kalimantan, Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei. Some records are reported from West Kalimantan (upper Kapuas River and possibly from the area near Sambas).
