Range Description

This species is widely distributed in the northern and southern Pacific Ocean (Holthuis 1982, 2002). It is known from Hawaii, Japan, the Society Islands, New Caledonia, the Mariana Islands and islands in the Austral, Tuamotu, Marquesas and Gambier archipelagos (Holthuis 1982, 2002, Phillips and McWilliam 1989, Poupin 1996, Eldredge and Evenhuis 2003, Paulay et al. 2003, Chan and Mitsuhashi 2007).
