Carrion crows are all-rounders. They adapt quickly to their environment and the amount of available food. You can find them in the city as readily as in a nature area They also eat carrion, which is how they got their name. You sometimes see them standing in the middle of the road, picking at the corpse of a dead bird or hare. They will also clean up dead animals on the beach. That is where they got their reputation as grave diggers.
