Head is rounded and broader than rest of the body. Body color is dark blackish-brown or dark purple fading gradually to brownish yellow toward the posterior. The ventral surface is paler than dorsal. White or flesh-color rings are distributed along the entire body length equidistantly (two types of bands: single and double rings are arranged alternatively), v-shaped band present, middorsal line, white longitudinal lines that are dotted. Lateral sensory organs appear rounded or elliptical colorless slits lying just anterior to the fourth white ring. This species exhibits the fixation artifact when fixed in formalin. Anterior half of the head is colorless. Tip of the head is covered with dark puple pigment spots.Trusted
