Schizomavella teresae is known from Galicia, the Bay of Biscay , off Roscoff, the Hinderbanks in Belgium and several localities in the English Channel.

Physical Description

Morphology

Schizomavella teresae is an encrusting bryozoan that forms small patch-like colonies which are composed of a single layer of autozooids. Autozooids are rectangular to polygonal and arranged in regular radiating series. They are 0.4-0.5 by 0.22-0.34 mm.

Habitat

The species is able to colonise shells in subtidal waters.
