Typically multinucleate, branching organism, size ranges from 50 µm linear dimension to organisms covering several square millimetres, typically found in soils where it may penetrate fungal mycelia and spores by cutting a hole in the wall and consume cytoplasm. May ingest other protists. Usually colourless but may have light pink or orange colour. Cysts usually produced after feeding. Reported from Europe and Gondwanaland.Trusted
