Large marine meroplasmodial organism, with discrete masses of cell bodies giving rise to a reticulum of fine pseudopodia with extrusomes.Body masses aggregate while feeding. Cytoplasm of cell bodies contained within fine organic lorica. Extrusomes resemble those of some small filopodial amoebae (Mikrjukov & Mylnikov, 1995), mitochondrial cristae said to be tubular. Some nuclei with rod-like fibrous inclusions. Has a distributive stage with two flagella of dissimilar lengths. These stages may swim or glide. One species described from marine sites in Japan.Trusted
