Description of Nebela griseola

Testate amoeba, the lorica is yellow or brown, pyriform and slightly compressed laterally. It is composed of siliceous shell plates and pieces of quartz, arranged in a random manner to give an uneven appearance. The aperture is circular and bordered by a prominent collar of many circular shell plates. Length of shell 80-88 microns, breadth of shell 52-69 microns, depth of shell 45-55 microns, diameter of aperture 18-23 microns.
