Description of Clevelandellida

Ciliates, somatic kinetids with non-microtubular retrodesmal and cathetodesmal fibrils; somatic kineties form a variety of sutures, in part, used to distinguish genera; many left serial oral polykinetids, not usually conspicuous; body often laterally compressed; nucleus often supported by fibrils (karyophore); endosymbionts in guts of oligochaetes, insects, centipedes, millipedes, molluscs, and some vertebrates.
