Description of Ogdeniella

Test: ovoid elongate, in contrast to Micramphora laterally compressed, in lateral view on the narrow side fundus lanceolate, broad side with round base, constricted neck and disk-shaped apertural collar. Pseudostome: round to oval. Shell composed of flat amorphous mineral particles. It is assumed that these elements are endogenous, but this has yet to be proven. Habitat: marine interstitices, salinity 0.035% to 3.08%. Type species: Ogdeniella elegans (Golemansky, 1970), old name Amphorellopsis Golemansky, 1970.
