Okanagana annulata is known from California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming (U.S.A.). It has been associated with the Rocky Mountain forests, intermountain forests], Pacific coastal/Cascadian forests, California forests, and chaparral. Sanborn & Phillips found this species in oak (Quercus spp.), pine (Pinus spp.), and sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum (Lindley)J. Buchholz). (Sanborn & Phillips 2013).
