Macrohabitat: Lowlands to midlands, sea level – 548 meters altitude, on the
tundra. Microhabitat: Adults are ground-dwelling and occur at the margin of small pools on
the tundra on soft mud (mainly decaying mosses) with Eriophorum angustifolium Honck. and carpets
of Scorpidium scorpioides (Hedw.). Dispersal abilities: Macropterous, probably capable of
flight; moderate runners. Seasonal occurrence: Adults have been found in June – August;
teneral adults in August. Behavior: Adults are nocturnal, predaceous; they take cover during
the day in mosses. Adults hibernate.
