Biology of the Bee Mite Species Chaetodactylus abditus

In Arizona is found phoretic on bee species of the genus Lithurgus flying in the fall. This contrasts to the sympatric species Chaetodactylus lithurgi associated with Lithurgus species which are active during the spring.
