Range Description

This species is only known with any certainty from along the Rio Grande River in Webb County, Texas, United States. However, it is thought by many that it was perhaps introduced here. It was also reported from Nuevo León, Mexico, according to D. Weniger (1970) in Pinkava (2003). The Texas locality is between 100 to 200 m. The natural range of this species is therefore considered to be unknown.
