Global Range: (>2,500,000 square km (greater than 1,000,000 square miles)) Although historically known as a ubiquitous eastern and midwestern species, it has recently been reported extensively from the central plains, and Nebraska and from the intermountain West (McCafferty and Meyer, 2007).
