According to Wolfgang Lorenz, Megalomma Westwood 1841 (Coleoptera Carabidae Cicindelinae) has priority over other homonyms. The replacement name for its junior homonym in Hymenoptera Sphecidae is Megistommum Schulz 1906. As for its third homonym (Megalomma Johannsson 1926, Polychaeta Sabellidae), it is still listed as a valid genus name with more than 30 species in the World Polychaeta Database.
