Global Range: (20,000-2,500,000 square km (about 8000-1,000,000 square miles)) According to Scott et al. (2011), this species is known only from Colorado, where it has been collected in seven counties. However, six of these counties border other states, Jackson and adjacent Larimer are on the Wyoming border, Mesa and adjacent Montrose are on the Utah border, Baca in the southeast corner and Costillo border New Mexico. Thus, this bee is almost certainly is not a Colorado endemic. It is also known from Teller County in the center of the state. Discover life maps only the Type Locality in Larimer County which is over 9,000 feet. The area of Colorado is 104,094 square miles and the known range would thus be most of of that, although it is not clear that how much of that range is still occupied. The species apparently occurs at a wide range of elevations, e.g. none of Baca Co. at the southeast corner of the range is higher than 1158 meters, but the Type Locality much farther north is at about 2759 meters.
